Traditional Mexican Wedding Food

Planning your Mexico wedding and want to really do it right? In that case, consider incorporating foods that are traditionally eaten at Mexican weddings -- they certainly won't disappoint!

Traditional foods include spicy rice, beans, tortilla dishes, using chicken and beef. Sangria, a cold drink made from red or white wine mixed with brandy, sugar, fruit juice and soda water, is also generally served as a refreshment...perfect for your beach wedding!

Appetizers generally consist of empanadas or breads that are stuffed with beef or chicken fillings as well as pasteles, and Puerto Rican meat patties among many others. Spanish Tapas, Colombian pastries with meat and vegetables are included as well. Other expected dishes are arroz con pollo, paella, rice and beans, and fried plantains.

Stay tuned for our next post, this Mexican wedding dish deserves its own post...the cake!
