Mexican Gypsy - Inspiration For An Autumn Mexico Wedding

Considering that we're smack in the middle of summer, the color palette on most of our minds -- specifically if planning a wedding in or themed around Mexico -- will probably involve the bold splashy colors that we would typically associate with Mexico. But what about those planning a fall destination wedding? Some may wish to opt for warmer, more fall-appropriate colors, even if the wedding is taking place in tropical Mexico!

Finding creative ways to mute the colors to fit an autumn mood while still maintaining that spicy fiesta vibe can initially seem a bit challenging, but on further inspection, we can find inspiration aplenty! Wedding Nouveau addressed just this issue, and suggested drawing inspiration from seasonal fruit and appropriate details like pomegranates, orange peppers, mustards, vibrant plums and a cool shade of blue to compliment all the warmth.

Frida Kahlo Inspired Wedding Shoot

I've always been a huge fan of iconic artist Frida Kahlo's work and story. She is defined by elements such as passion, vibrance, and Mexican culture. This unique wedding shoot channels the fiery charm that made Frida great. While the shoot, by Isabel Lawrence Photography and planned by Celebrations of Joy! took place in Palm Springs, these character-filled pictures bring you right into old world Mexico.

The sight describes the rich beauty of the textures, intense colors, and styled vintage and Mexican pieces, and I couldn't agree more. Take a look at these pictures from the Frida-inspired wedding, and be sure to check out the full gallery!
